Mission Statement & Donation Breakdown

Mission Statement

BLM Cards for Humanity is a collaborative, non-profit initiative aimed at addressing inequalities and inequities that Black and Indigenous peoples face, specifically in Canada and the United States. Our group consists of a small team of organizers and numerous artists located around the world. Each art piece functions as a memorial for a specific Black and/or Indigenous persons who's lives have been lost due to racial, or other related, injustices. Our project's mission is not only to memorialize each victim, but to also fundraise for non-profit-organizations that actively work to improve the lives of Black and Indigenous peoples. All proceeds from this project will be donated evenly to the ACLU, BLAC, and IRSSS. For further information contact us at: [email protected]

Three different organizations were selected to receive our fundraising evenly. The ACLU was chosen for its impeccable track record and role in the fight for equality in US history. The BLAC was chosen for its transparency, purpose and roots in supporting Black Canadians. Finally the IRSSS was chosen for its ability to support the specific and unique needs of Indigenous people to recover from historical and present day trauma resulting from the inherently racist act of colonization.
